As from what i know and heard,the sequel tells the continuing on-set adventures of San Diego's top rated newsman.
The film will still be directed by Adam McKay (The Other Guys/Step Brothers) and stars Will Ferrell (The Campaign/Stranger Than Fiction),Paul Rudd (Knocked Up),Steve Carrell (The 40-Year Old Virgin) and Christina Applegate alongside the film's newcomers Jim Carrey (Dumb and Dumber),Harrison Ford (Raiders of the Lost Ark),Liam Neeson (Taken),Nicole Kidman (Eyes Wide Shut),James Marsden (X-Men Trilogy),Sacha Baron Cohen (The Dictator/Borat),Vince Vaughn (The Watch) and John C.Reilly.Unlike the first film,the cast will be bigger and more star studded with veteran actors portraying some of the film's new characters.
I haven't seen the first film and I'm not much of a fan of Will Ferrell (Though I still find him funny) but I'm interested in this sequel because of the huge A-list cast.
So far,that's the only poster released for the film.Anchorman: The Legend Continues is scheduled for release, Dec.20,2013 in the US to be distributed by Paramount Pictures.No news yet on it's theatrical release here in our country,however it will probably be theatrically distributed by Solar UIP Philippines.
The sequel's predecessor,Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is available on DVD distributed by Magnavision Home Video
